RULES

  • The central referee has the authority to stop the match for ANY reason that he feels worthy of such interruption
  • Registration fees are non-refundable, and DISQUALIFIED competitors will lose his/her registration fee
  • If the match is tied at the end of regulation, there will be a one minute overtime. If match continues to be tied by the end of overtime, there will be sudden death. The first competitor that scores points will be the winner.
  • Double elimination tournament
  • The Gi needs to be all White, all Black or all Blue
  • Any competitor who does not show up for a match will automatically forfeit the match and registration fee
  • Competitors MUST wear shoes or sandals off of the mat. Walking barefoot outside of the mats prior to your competition will not be tolerated
  • Wrestling shoes of ANY kind are not allowed to be worn during the match
  • ANY display of poor sportsmanship/disrespect towards other competitors, spectators, instructors, referees, or any staff WILL result in immediate DISQUALIFICATION. ANYONE displaying such behavior will be asked to leave the premises.

 
HYGIENE

  • The kimono must be washed and dried with no unpleasant odors.
  • Toe and fingernails must be cut short and clean.
  • People with long hair must keep thair hair from interferring with there opponent or with themselves during the match.
  • Athletes are not permitted to paint there hair with spray and may be disquallified by the referee by doing so.

 
RESTRICTIONS The following submissions and/or actions are restricted from any GRAPPLERS CIRCUIT tournament and will result in immediate DISQUALIFICATION of the competitor applying the illegal move and/or submission:

  • Athletes under 18(Juveniles) are only allowed to compete in the open class
AGES 4 THROUGH 15
  • Slam from the guard
  • Bicep lock
  • Wrist lock
  • Foot lock of ANY kind
  • Knee/Leg lock of ANY kind
  • Cervical lock of ANY kind
  • Neck crank of ANY kind
  • Calf lock
  • Shoulder lock
  • Guillotine
  • Scissors takedown
  • Heel hook

AGES 16 and 17:

  • Slam from the Guard
  • Leg locks of ANY kind
  • Cervical lock
  • Biceps lock
  • Calf lock
  • Wrist lock
  • Mata Leo with foot (rear naked choke using the foot)
  • Scissors takedown
  • Heel hook

FROM ADULT THROUGH SENIOR (WHITE, BLUE & PURPLE BELT)

  • Mata Leo with foot
  • Slam from the guard
  • Leg locks
  • Cervical (only without chokes)
  • Biceps lock
  • Calf lock
  • Scissors take down
  • Heel Hook

FROM ADULT THROUGH SENIOR (BROWN AND BLACKBELT)

  • Slam from the guard
  • Cervical locks (only without chokes)
  • Scissors take down
  • Heel Hook

 
POINTS

4 points - mount, back grab
3 points - passing the guard
2 points - take downs, sweeps and knee on the belly
-1, -2... - Penalties
1, 2, 3... - Advantages

KIDS

(4-6) = 2 minutes
(7-9) = 3 minutes
(10-12) = 4 minutes
(13-15) =4 minutes

ADULTS

White belts = 5 minutes
Blue belts = 6 minutes
Purple belts = 7 minutes
Brown belts = 8 minutes
Black belts = 10 minutes

WOMAN

White belts = 5 minutes
Blue belts = 6 minutes
Purple belts = 7 minutes
Brown belts = 7 minutes
Black belts = 8 minutes

JUVENILE

White belts = 4 minutes
Blue belts = 5 minutes

MASTERS

White belts = 4 minutes
Blue belts = 5 minutes
Purple belts = 6 minutes
Brown belts = 6 minutes
Black belts = 6 minutes
